2 days ago, my life changed, for the betther. Heres how:
that’s right after being an apple fanatic for 3 years and still owning only an iPod, i finally become apart of the iPhone phenomenon and let me tell you, its worth the hype. I love my iPhone 4S sosososo much! Still getting adjusted so feel free to leave tips and necessary apps in the comments bellow!
I went downtown to the nearest Apple store to figure out some details about the launch of the new iPhone 4S and if I was eligible for an upgrade. Luckily, an upgrade is available for me and I get to buy the new iPhone on the release date! So after classes on Friday, I will be at the Apple Store purchasing MY FIRST iPHONE.
While I was down there I was the first member of the San Luis Obispo community to leave a note on the front of the Apple Store thanking Steven for all his hard work.
Today at school, less than 24 hours after Steve Jobs’ passing, I wore this shirt and button in honor of Steven. I’m horrible at putting my feelings into words, but I’m going to do my best:
Steve Jobs was a man of many inventions. He is the creator of #1 computer animation company Pixar and the lengenday Apple Inc. He is a true visionary and role model for all. As his ideas flourished and the iPod, iPhone and iPad were released, Steven became a some what immortal being as he kept creating the next best thing. No, I was not one of those fanboys at every keynote screaming and gasping at every word he said, but it would be ignorant of me, or anyone, to not pay respect to the way he paved for the world of technology. I hear a lot of Android and Windows users who brag about their PC and phones and how much more power and efficient their machines are, but it was Steven who was responsible for a majority of the technology used in today’s devices. His drive to continue to out do himself and creative thinking is what was most admirable about this man. Despite whether you are a Mac or PC, iPhone or Droid, this man deserves the utmost respect you possibly have to offer.
Now, someone who this directly affected, is the person that got me involved and blogging and technology, internet superstar iJustine. She jokingly added an “i” to her name for her love of Apple products. I’ve been following her since 2007 and went back and found all her videos involving Steve and had a reminiscent moment and took a stroll down memory lane. Join me, will you?
well… at least that was what we were expecting. Today, in Cupertino, CA, new CEO Tim Cook held a press conference titled “Let’s Talk iPhone.” Rumors have been spreading like wild fire since July about the release of the new handheld with a larger screen, redesigned exterior and much more. However, Apple failed to meet the expectations releasing a handset identical to the old model with a new camera and processor. Oh! and not to forget our new personal assistant Siri, a pre-loaded application to manage e-mail, SMS, iCal, and phone calls all with voice command. I will remain a skeptic until I try it since I have yet to experience a pleasant voice command conversation with out repeating myself several times to the stupid machine.
What is exciting in Apple new however os the new iOS 5. Which offers over 200 new features to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Click here for an extensive list of all features.
As that time rapidly approaches, I began my packing for my big move back to SLO in ONEWEEK. I thought it’d be fun to turn my packing vlog into a bit of an instructional video for the incoming freshman on what is important to bring for the upcoming school year.
I must say, even though I have done this once already, I’m stressing out quite a bit. I’m living in an apartment this year instead of a dorm so it’s definitely a bit different so naturally, I’m overreacting and freaking out! Oh well, nothing worth losing hair or sleep over. So I think the videos pretty much explain it all. So I’ll give you all a chance to watch those…
So its finally done, and I’m off my pain medication. Only 2 days after the surgery and I rewarded myself with a trip to the promenade and got myself a new pair of shoes and some hoodies from the Vans outlet. All-in-all, I’m happy with the way the surgery went, and my speedy recovery.
