By the time most of you read this I will have already been put under, cut up, and in the recovery room, but I just finished my last meal that I was able to chew with my wisdom teeth! I went ahead a recorded the momentous occasion for you all to enjoy!

Now, I am a little concerned… this operation will be a lot of firsts for me… first time being numbed, first time I’ve gotten a tooth pulled, first time getting knocked out, first time getting hooked up to an IV and first time on any major pain medications.  So ya, I really haven;t had anything major happen to me… Now some of you may say that getting your wisdom teeth pulled is a very minor surgery but for someone who hasn’t had more than a sprained ankle let alone a broken bone or cavity, having  four impacted wisdom teeth removed sounds like a big deal to me! Wish me luck and look for more post-op footage later!

Floating the river: a right of passage in every Mantecan’s life. I was lucky enough to take my two best friends out on their first floating adventure and it was a definite success! Losing shoes,  circled by hawks and getting snagged on fallen trees are all natural in a day with Zach, Lorie, and Becca! I think its safe to say we all had a good time and look forwar to hopefully making this a tradition with all the friends!
